We are seeking reliable independent contractors to serve legal documents in the Maryland area. This is a 1099 contractor position with flexible scheduling. Ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, driving, and managing their own time. Process Servers deliver legal documents to individuals and businesses and complete proof of service documentation. No prior experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with active auto insurance Smartphone with email and internet access Willing to complete a background check Strong communication skills Ability to make local office visits or pick up mail (1–2 times per week, depending on location) Willingness to drive 25–50 miles per day, if needed Ability to print documents (at home or through Staples, library, etc.) You’ll be successful in this role if… You’re organized and detail-oriented, and take pride in doing things right the first time. You can manage multiple deadlines without getting overwhelmed. You’re proactive and comfortable taking initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do.
